Since our inception, education for the New York community has been a cornerstone mission for our organization.
We offer a hands-on educational experience, based on colonial daily life in New Amsterdam, through our interactive field trip program which ties in with the New York City Department of Education Social Studies curriculum. The children tour our museum and learn about how they would have lived in New Amsterdam and early New York. Then, in our classroom, don colonial costumes and dance a minuet. Joie Anderson serves as our Head Docent.
