Join the Historical Activities Committee for a Spring Field Trip to Yale

We will be taking the 9:35 train out of Grand Central. We should get to Grand Central by 9:00 am, meet at the clock by 9:15 and gather to board the train. The ticket price for a round trip off hours is $35.50 for adults and $23.50 for Seniors. The train will arrive in New Haven at 11:40.

From the Union Station in New Haven, we will take taxis to Mory's, 306 York Street, New Haven, CT, for a 12:30 luncheon catered to us. From Mory's, we will go around the corner to visit the Beinecke Library. From the Beinecke Library, we will walk down High Street to the Yale University Art Gallery and see the historical sites of the Old Campus along the way (a short distance to the Yale University Art Gallery). We will have a 3:30 tour with John Stewart Gordon, and taxis will be ordered and waiting for us outside the Art Gallery at 4:45. The train leaves Union Station at 5:28, getting us back to Grand Central by 7:30.

Please email the Office, office@nscdny.org, by April 12 to report any food allergies or dietary restrictions you may have, and to state whether you plan to take the New Haven train to and from Grand Central Terminal with the group, or to drive on your own to Mory’s and from the Yale University Art Gallery.  For museum admission you should be prepared to wear a mask.  You should also bring your card showing COVID vaccinations and boosters.
